[edit] Info/Trivia
- The Leopard has been unofficially named Skaars by the discussion community. Rumour has it that a competition was held to come up with the best name for the SK leopard, and that Skaars was the winner -- Martha R.
- Skaars is Afrikaan for "rare" -- contributed by AnneMarie H.
- One of the other popular names was Iwana, as in I Want A Leopard -- contributed by Claire G.-B.
- The contest consisted of nominations for names - we got 67 names nominated. Then the board voted the top 3: Skaars, Mia (M.I.A.), Lafawnduh. The developers picked the winner: Skaars - although Afrikaans for "rare" the developers stated it also sounded scandanavian, which they have an afffinity for... --- contributed by Tyler M. [note: Afrikaans is derived from the Dutch language]
- Rumour also has it that there were only 100 Leopard cards released and that ALL of them have been vaulted, which would make this the only expired collection that cannot be completed.
- Skaars appeared as a PopUp (now know as a Bonus Draw) on April 1, 2008. When players tried to grab this rare and "most wanted" card, it raced around the screen as an April Fool's Day prank! -- contributed by AnneMarie H.
- There are other cards that allude to Skaars: the Panthera Pardeus shoe CLS - is the scientific name for leopard, Elliot from HTZ has a leopard on his shirt, then there is Spotted Jaguar from QoM, there were conspiracy theories out there that if you combined all three cards, you would make a leopard...--- contributed by Tyler M.
- 33 cards needed, requiring 985 - 1,305 credits and 1 - 3 Bonus Draws.
