Bling

From PackRat Recipe Wiki

A bling is a gadget used to add decoration and texture to a card.

There are currently 22 types of bling: Rainbow Bling, Paw Print Bling, Floral Bling, Peace Sign Bling, Bubble Bling, Pixie Dust Bling, Jolly Roger Bling, Vines Bling, Blood Splatter Bling, Cobweb Bling, Planet Bling, Union Jack Bling, Fire Bling, Clouds Bling, Christmas Lights Bling, Fireworks Bling, Smiley Bling, #1 Bling, Field Bling, Hearts Bling, Balloons Bling, and Kiss Bling. However, the devs plan on releasing more bling in the future, as well as retiring various blings as they go along. (For examples of each bling, check out the Packrat Tools Mockup Tool)

To use bling, once you have a bling in your pack click on "Gadgets" on the right hand of the screen. Click the item you want blinged as well as the bling itself. Then click the dark blue "Use Gadget" button on the top right corner.

Bling FAQ

  • Where can blings be obtained and how much do they cost? Click here for complete up-to-date info!
  • Blings are only good for one use. Once a bling has been used, it will disappear, freeing up space in your pack.
  • If you use a blinged item in a recipe, the bling will disappear from the resulting card, just like with foils.
  • If you bling an unlocked item, it is stealable until you lock it.
  • Foils can not be blinged/blung.
  • At this time, if you vault both a foiled and a blinged/blung copy of the same card, the blinged/blung copy will sit on top. However, the devs have stated that they're working to change this, so eventually the foils will sit on top.
  • There is a separate page in your vault for the bling, just as the foils have their own page.
  • Vaulting blinged cards adds a bling bonus of points equal to 20% of the face value of the card.
  • Floral Bling was a limited edition bling, and only 10,000 were released. (This is the same as the number of Pirate Ships that were released from High Seas Rivalry.) All other blings may retire at any point, but are not limited like the Floral Blings were.

Curious what a particular card or collection would look like with various bling?? Wonder no more! The Packrat Tools Mockup Tool is a fantastic way to save you credits/tickets while you determine which blings you want to use for your cards.
